New houses, additions and condominium renovations make up most of the practice’s work. In Naples that includes the Pine Ave. Residence, the Bayshore house on Lunar Street, the 4th Street South residence, a home addition on Caribbean Street, and condominium renovations at St. Laurent, Pelican Bay Blvd and Gulf Shore Blvd North. In Western Pennsylvania: the Legacy Project in Sewickley, the Church Hill Residence in Venetia, the Thome and Papp residences, 30 and 38 Virginia Lane in Canonsburg and Black Street in Pittsburgh. Two more are under way out of state, the 7 Chimes Guest House in Aiken, South Carolina, and the Pump House Renovations in Birmingham, Alabama.
Every house begins with the site: its light, its contours and its materials. In Southwest Florida the site also means the flood zone and the wind exposure, which set the first-floor elevation and the structure before any room is drawn. We start with the client’s vision, then let the site become integral to the concept design, letting light, space and views shape a home that couldn’t belong to anyone else.
